CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION–LEVEL 10 (REF: CFO)

CENTRE: PIETERMARITZBURG

SALARY: R359 628.72 per annum

Requirements: Degree in Accounting; 6 years’ experience in supervisory position, Financial management, Proven knowledge of fund accounting and general fiscal practises, including grants administration; Knowledge of legal aspects of museum operation, Human resource procedures and insurance requirements, Knowledge of office and museum equipment, data processing systems, Asset management, risk and security management ; Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, computer literate, Valid code B driver’s licence.

Recommendation: Bachelor of Accounting Science

Duties: This position will report to the Director and is responsible for establishing financial objectives in collaboration with the Director and Museum Council; Financial management, including budgeting, accounting, purchasing, human resources, salaries and benefits, insurance ,taxes and contracts; Operation of physical plant and security; visitor services; Strategic planning and ensuring adherence to PFMA and GAAP/GRAP standards
